盛田直子 Naoko Morita

ソニー創業者の盛田昭夫氏の長女として、世界中から多くのゲストを迎える環境の中で育ち、四谷雙葉を卒業後、スイス・ローザンヌをはじめ、パリ、米国に留学。大学卒業後は、様々な社会貢献活動に従事し、2020年より盛田昭夫塾館長として盛田昭夫氏の理念や人間性を次世代へ伝える活動に取り組んでいる。挑戦する精神、国際的視野、人材育成の重要性を広く発信している。また、企業経営や文化活動、教育分野にわたる幅広い経験を有し、起業家や次世代リーダーとの交流にも積極的に携わっている。

As the eldest daughter of Akio Morita, co-founder of Sony, Naoko Morita grew up in an internationally oriented environment, welcoming numerous guests from around the world. After graduating from Futaba High School in Tokyo, she pursued studies abroad in Lausanne, Switzerland, as well as in Paris and the United States.

Following university, she became involved in a wide range of social and philanthropic activities. Since 2020, she has served as Director of the Akio Morita Juku, where she works to pass on Akio Morita’s philosophy, values, and humanity to future generations. Through these activities, she promotes the importance of an entrepreneurial spirit, a global perspective, and the development of future leaders. Drawing on broad experience spanning business, cultural initiatives, education, and social engagement, she also actively fosters dialogue and relationships with entrepreneurs and the next generation of leaders.

大塚孝治 Takaharu Otsuka

日本を代表する理論物理学者。
東京大学大学院理学系研究科博士課程修了(理学博士)。 日本原子力研究所研究員、ロスアラモス国立研究所研究員、東京大学大学院理学系研究科教授などを歴任。東京大学名誉教授であり、理化学研究所仁科加速器科学研究センターの客員主管研究員などを務めている。

専門は原子核物理学(原子核構造理論)。原子核のミクロな構造や挙動を解明する理論研究において、世界的な先駆者として知られている。2023年には国際的に顕著な業績を挙げた研究者に与えられるドイツの権威ある賞であるフンボルト賞(Humboldt Research Award)を受賞している。理論と計算物理、そして国内外の実験データとの対話を重視し、現代の原子核物理学の進歩に大きく貢献している研究者である。

Takaharu Otsuka is one of Japan’s leading theoretical physicists. He received his Ph.D. in Science from the Graduate School of Science at the University of Tokyo.

He has held research and academic positions at the Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute, Los Alamos National Laboratory in the United States, and the Graduate School of Science at the University of Tokyo, where he served as Professor. He is currently Professor Emeritus at the University of Tokyo and has also served as a Visiting Senior Scientist at the RIKEN Nishina Center for Accelerator-Based Science.

His principal field of research is nuclear physics, particularly the theory of nuclear structure. He is internationally recognized as a pioneer in theoretical research aimed at understanding the microscopic structure and behavior of atomic nuclei. In 2023, he received the prestigious Humboldt Research Award, presented in Germany to internationally distinguished researchers in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements. By integrating theoretical and computational physics with insights derived from experimental data obtained in Japan and abroad, Professor Otsuka has made major contributions to the advancement of modern nuclear physics.

鈴木一郎 Ichiro Suzuki

日本を代表する脳神経外科医。
東京大学医学部医学科卒業(医学博士)。東京大学医学部脳神経外科へ入局後、東京都立神経病院脳神経外科医長、東京大学医学部脳神経外科講師を歴任。日本赤十字社医療センター脳神経外科部長、副院長などを務め、長年にわたり脳神経外科の医療・研究・臨床の第一線で活躍した。

専門は脳神経外科、脳血管障害、脳腫瘍および脳神経疾患の外科治療。高度な脳神経外科手術と臨床研究の双方において豊富な実績を有し、日本の脳神経外科医療の発展に大きく貢献してきた。後進の育成にも尽力し、安全性と患者本位の医療を重視した診療姿勢を貫くとともに、最新の医学知見を臨床へ還元することに努め、多くの医師から厚い信頼を集めている。

Ichiro Suzuki is one of Japan’s distinguished neurosurgeons. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tokyo and holds a Doctor of Medical Science degree.

After joining the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Tokyo, he served in a number of senior clinical and academic positions, including Chief of Neurosurgery at the Tokyo Metropolitan Neurological Hospital and Lecturer in Neurosurgery at the University of Tokyo. He subsequently served as Director of Neurosurgery and Vice President of the Japanese Red Cross Medical Center, devoting many years to the advancement of neurosurgical medicine, clinical practice, and research.

His areas of expertise include neurosurgery, cerebrovascular disorders, brain tumors, and the surgical treatment of neurological diseases. With extensive experience in both advanced neurosurgical procedures and clinical research, Dr. Suzuki has made significant contributions to the development of neurosurgical care in Japan. He has also devoted considerable effort to training younger generations of physicians, consistently emphasizing patient-centered care and safety while bringing the latest advances in medical science into clinical practice. His long-standing dedication to medicine has earned him the respect and trust of many colleagues in the medical community.
